Great TV Seasons to Watch During Your Vasectomy Recovery

A vasectomy is a very easy and simple procedure which many men around the world have completed each and every day. The vasectomy recovery time is just a couple of days but during that time it is absolutely imperative that you stay off your feet, rest up and relax, and let nature take its course. Something which a great many men struggle with, as much as our wives may not always agree, is doing nothing. It is one thing to watch the TV or put a movie on when you choose to, but being forced to do nothing for a few days can be very frustrating indeed.

During your recovery there is a great deal however which you could be doing, reading a book or learning a new hobby for example. What I found to be the best way however was to get my teeth into some TV series, the more engaging the better. With this in mind, if you plan on having a vasectomy done in the near-future it will important that you plan ahead of time what you will be doing during your recovery and here are some TV series which I would certainly urge you to watch during this time, if you haven’t already seen them.

Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones is probably the most epic adventure and TV series which we have ever seen and it will engage you right from the word go. The show is set in a fantasy world which is divided into different kingdoms, all of which are ruled by whoever sits on the much coveted iron throne. As the series develops there are bloodthirsty battles, tales of deceit and betrayal, love affairs, heartbreak, cruelty, friendships and some pretty scary looking monsters too. This is an amazing show which has now closed the curtain following its 8th series. If you are looking for something to help you truly escape then this is the one for you.

Billions

Billions, featuring the brilliant Maggie Siff, Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti, to name just a few, is a slick and fast paced drama which sees a lawmaker look to take down his wife’s boss. Lewis plays Bobby Axelrod, a man who profited from the collapse of the World Trade Center and who is a shape talking stock broker with a habit of winning, and bending the rules. His go-to advisor in his business is Wendy (Siff) who just so happens to be the wife of lawmaker Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti) who is also known to bend the rules a little when it suits him. Both Chuck and Bobby know exactly how smart the other is and this turns out to be a long and twisted game of chess which either man could win. Throw in some sado-masochism some of the smartest script writing which you are going to find and a touch of viscous competition and you have one of the best shows that has been created in the last 20 years.

Black Mirror

If you enjoy a bit of sci-fi then Black Mirror is most certainly the season for you, it is quite simply mind-blowing. There is no thread between the series which means that you can jump in or out at any episode which you choose to watch, depending on how you are feeling. This is a show which uses each episode to explore where we are as a world, what the perception of people is and what  the likes of phones and communications are doing with regards to taking over our lives. There are episodes which will have you feeling a certain way all the way through the episode, and then at the end you will have your feelings, beliefs and emotions completely flipped over. This is by far and away one of the most important TV shows which has been created in a very long time, and you are going to be glued o your TV set during that vasectomy recovery.

Casa De Papel ( Money Heist)

Another truly gripping drama is the Spanish series La Casa De Papel, known as Money Heist in English. The plot is very simple indeed, to rob Spain’s central bank, in order to do it a genius known as the Professor has assembled a group of badass criminal with no bank robbing experience but with very little left to lose. The Professor trains his crew with a plan which he has been working on for years, and this is a plan which covers every single potential detail. Watch to see how many tricks and deceptions the Professor and his gang are able to carry out during the heist, and of course to see whether or not they get away with it. This is one of those shows where the bad guys very quickly become the good guys, and then they go back to being bad again, but who’s side will you be on?

Vikings

And finally for those of you who wish to use your recovery time going back in history, the show Vikings makes for a sensational watch. The show begins with the fascinating character of Ragnar Lothbrok who eventually gains power before dark forces enter his mind, watch bloody battles, powergrabs and learn all about the interesting world of the vikings, their lives, their beliefs and the immense power of their gods. This show was created by the History Channel and so although it is dramatic and created to entertain, it also features a great amount of accuracy with regards to the travels of the vikings and their way of life. This is another show which is really going to grip you once you get started with watching it.

During those couple of days that you are off your feet, this is the perfect way in which you can spend that time being entertained, until you are ready to get back on your feet again without any pain or discomfort, where will you start?
